No one ever stays the same, and if they do that means that they're not moving forward. I wouldn't say staying the same is a good thing in most cases, as long as they're not changing dramatically.
Well if something's changing dramatically then that means something dramatic had to happen to cause it right? In my experience, dramatic changes like that don't happen unless something bad happened or they're hiding something.
When you think about it, surely not everything has to be "born", and not everything "grows". Taking that out of the equation, it's possible for someone to remain static. I'm sure there are gods who are always the same as when they first came into existence. Perhaps there's an entire race in which it's common for no change to occur.
